2013年発売のtnwhのファーストアルバムです。
この頃のtnwhのライブは高木gtと畑野drの二人でしていたのですが、この録音はそれを忠実に再現しようとしたものではありません。
バンドによる演奏の形態が基本ですが、録音という枠の中にそれをうまく収めることが狙いではなく、録音もまた演奏と同じ次元の行為として聞こえる音楽を作りたかったからです。
いわば録音という作業を演奏化するための試みといえるかもしれません。
いわゆるミックスやマスタリングは考えずに制作されました。

録音とライブはもちろん別物なのですが、それはどちらかがより真正な音楽だということではないと考えています。
録音により生の演奏の受けとめ方が変わり、そこからまた録音の技法が生まれる。
このアルバムはそのようなフィードバックの可能性を探るものでした。
作ってから10年ほとんど聞きかえすことはなかったので、今聞くと他人の作った音楽のようにも感じられます。
しかしこの歪で不自然な響きは、確かに自分のなかにある音楽の意志であり、これがファーストアルバムでよかったなと思います。


第6回Yotsuya Art Studium最優秀アーティスト賞　Maestro Guant をこのアルバムで受賞しました。

This is tnwh's first album released in 2013.
At that time, tnwh's live performances were performed by Takagi gt and Hatano dr, and this recording is not an attempt to faithfully reproduce that.
This recording is not an attempt to faithfully reproduce the live performance by the band, but rather to create music that can be heard as an act of recording on the same level as the performance, rather than to fit it into the framework of a recording.
In other words, this is an attempt to make the process of recording into a performance.
Therefore, the production process deviated from what is called mixing and mastering.

Of course, recording and live performance are two different things, but I don't think it means that one is more authentic music than the other.
The recording changes the way the live performance is perceived, and from that changes the technique of recording again.
This album was an exploration of the possibilities of such feedback.
I have hardly listened to it again in the 10 years since I made it, so when I listen to it now, it feels like music made by someone else.
However, this distorted and unnatural sound is indeed the will of the music within me, and I am glad that this is my first album.

I won the Maestro Guant Award for best artist at the 6th Yotsuya Art Studium for this album.
